We are looking for someone to support our Innovation & Technology team at the Bachenbülach (ZH) location

 

Design & Development Manager

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading a design & development team to execute and deliver on new designs from concepts through implementation
  • Ensure customer needs are clear within technical specifications and controls these through all product development gates
  • Ensure alignment with all business functions to ensure that design meet all specifications including costs, production and supply chain requirements, and more
  • Deliver the agreed engineering objectives established as part of the  long-term strategy roadmap
  • Ensures products are fit for market by ensuring regulatory requirements
  • Implements and manages a development team and the related processes within

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in leading design and development teams
  • Knowledge of design standards as well as equipment environmental regulations
  • Able to implement methods such as design by rules, by analysis, and by experiments
  • Knowledge of value engineering and design-to-cost
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD, PDM, and product life cycle management
  • Stage gate project management experience with ideally some LEAN experience
  • Strong experience with prototyping, equipment manufacturing technologies, testing and validation methods
  • Fluent German and English
